K.J. Atwood

Managing Director
K.J. Atwood is the Managing Director and Co-Founder of Half Dreaming. Before starting the agency, he led teams from startups to Fortune 50 companies like Microsoft and AmerisourceBergen, and built a research background spanning neuroscience, public health, and enterprise consulting, including field interviews, polling, and focus group work with stakeholders both locally and multi-nationally. That mix of hard data and people-first thinking shapes how he approaches every client's strategy: rigorous where it counts, human where it matters most. A Wofford College grad, K.J. is deeply rooted in the Lowcountry and believes the best marketing happens when you actually know the community you're building for.

Caitlyn Atwood

Creative Director
Caitlyn Atwood is an award-winning Creative Director and Co-Founder of Half Dreaming, specializing in brand development and visual storytelling. She's led branding projects at the local, state, national, and international level, working with stakeholders of every size to turn complex ideas into brands people actually connect with. Caitlyn believes great design should feel personal, not generic, and that philosophy runs through everything from a first logo concept to a fully built-out brand system. When she's not building brands for clients, she's usually designing her own surface pattern collections or chasing down the next great Charleston coffee shop.

Coffee order: Iced latte with a seasonal, house-made syrup
Perfect afternoon in Charleston: Coffee at Gala and a baby playdate at the Bunny Hive with friends, followed by a sunset beach trip to IOP to play with our pup while our daughter splashes in the waves and dinner at Acme
Favorite place you've traveled: Bali! It is the most beautiful island and has the kindest people.
Currently obsessed with: Sewing matching outfits for me and my daughter
